Greetings From Music City
Hello everybody...thanks for all the emails and calls of support recently...i really appreciate it. Sorry it's been so long since I've posted on here, but I've been a tad "Busy". It was with mixed emotions that I packed up and left "Sin City" for "Music City". There was a lot to be done and many things to take care of before my arrival here in Nashville...thanks to God, everything worked out and I made it here safely. So far, I love Nashville and have many good friends out here. It was the right move for me both personally and professionally. I'm hoping to finally finish "Countdown to Zero", an album which I have been working on for some time now...more news on that soon.
Once again thanks to everyone who has sent encouraging words, bought my cd's and merchandise and lent me their ear...I'll be back with more news soon...

Notes from Paul
Hey everybody! Hope all is well. Thanks for the support and for the emails...it's great to hear from you all. I am recuperating from a bad fall I took a few weeks ago...I fractured my ankle and tore some ligaments...painful to be sure, but it hasn't kept me from "sitting" at my studio console and working on the new album whenever I am able. Lifes' challenges come and go===some are worse than others, and I am definitely staring down some challenges currently, but I will endure and hopefully, these experiences will be nothing more than lyrics to a song a few months from now...time will tell. In the meantime, Im still staying busy with "FM" my new classic rock act. We are performing weekly at Mulligans Bar and Grille and a few other places here and there. (although for the first time in my life, I have to sit on a barstool for most of the gig due to my ankle injury) I would love to see you come out to the gig some time....I will be the guitar player with the crutches propped up behind him...ha ha. Kudos and forever love to my darling wife===who, bless her heart, is adding guitar tech and roadie to her many other things she does for me...I dont know what I would do without her...AND she also puts up with me hobbling around on crutches and caters to me night and day. I'm ever so grateful and appreciative to be lucky enough to be in love with someone so deeply (and with a woman who gives that love back tenfold....)
As I mentioned earlier, still working on the new album...I am pleased with the tracks after almost 2 years of writing, recording, rewriting, re-recording, changing, rearranging and sweating every little detail...hopefully, it will be worth it when it is finally finished. This will be my "Tour De Force"...a double cd with original compositions and covers that will run the gamut of genres and styles...
Thanks again for your support and I hope to see you soon...

FM Gaining momentum
The new music act featuring Rick Snider on vocals (Faux Collins, Inside Out, Led Zeplica, Led Zeppagain) and Paul Mills on guitar is attracting attention! They are currently performing weekly at Mulligans Bar and Grille---right across from the Cannery Casino in Las Vegas---Every Saturday at 9:00 pm. This is not only a great show of great classic rock music, but also a fun time for all! The two performers have a great chemistry onstage and they interact with the crowd at every opportunity. I noticed on their breaks, they were mingling with the patrons, laughing, taking requests, etc...it was a good time. You would never believe this much music came from these two guys. Rick Snider exudes confidence as he belts out vocal gymnastics---nothing seems to be out of reach for him vocally...from the unbelievable high shrieks and guttural vocals of Robert Plant to the sensitive and polished Phil Collins...and everything in between. I was absolutely blown away when Rick went from Eric Clapton to AC/DC and executed both vocal styles with flawless ease! Paul Mills is no less impressive on guitar...as one patron put it "he plays that thing like it’s a part of him...it just flows through him like water"....smooth and rockin'...bluesy and ballsy...and of course, there’s the flash! From Eddie Van Halen to Stevie Wray Vaughn his wizardry on the fretboard is uncanny...and the perfect compliment to Rick Snider. FM---short for "Faux-Mills" (a throwback to the days when snider fronted "Faux Collins", the musical tribute to Phil Collins along with Mills on guitar) is definitely an act to see...and enjoy. They most definitely rock...and entertain. Come check 'em out...and don't be afraid to say hello...you won't find 2 friendlier guys...especially 2 guys with this much talent

Notes From Paul
Hello Everyone...I hope all is well. I have been quite busy lately...still working on finishing up the new album--"44". It has been occupying A LOT of my nights!....and of course, if I dont finish it soon, I'll have to rename it "45" LOL! I am also putting together a new project...a new band that will concentrate on playing only those great rock classics that you dont hear very much these days...don't worry---nothing obscure or experimental, ha ha...just good classic rock from the 60's, 70.s and 80's. If you are anywhere near my age, you will immediately recognize our setlist. Remember rock and roll? "Classy" classic rock? You know, bands like Toto, Allman Brothers, Cream, CSNY, Frampton, Clapton, Traffic, Rick Springfield, Doobie Brothers, Player, Little River Band...and of course, Van Halen, Def Lepperd, Arrowsmith, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Jimi Hendrix, Steely Dan...the list goes on and on...The band is called "Rock-n-rollback" and thats exactly what I would love to do...help bring Rock and Roll back...I will be posting updates on the bands progress as well as future performance dates.
If you would like to get on the mailing list, use the option on this website to get your email address to us---and, if you would like to get on the list for a discounted copy of my new double CD "44", use the contact option on this site and send your email address and you will recieve a reply with details.

44
"44"--the new album Paul Mills
Paul will be releasing his 4th solo album "44" in 2008. 44 will be his first "Concept" album and will be a revealing and introspective look into his life and times. "This is a project very near and dear to my heart" says Paul. "I'm really unsure if anyone will listen to the lyrics or even care to read between the lines, but this album will be sort of like a closing chapter to my life thus far". Does this mean something new following the release of this album? "I certainly hope so...I have some new ideas, etc and some new projects yet to do...I've always written and recorded music that comes straight from my heart without worrying about the current trends or trying to be anything other than who I am...my music is my release and if someone can identify with it--great! But 44, for the most part, certainly isn't going to be mainstream radio-friendly pop material---it will be more of a classic rock album reminiscent of my upbringing in music" Keep checking back for details on the upcoming double CD available online and by mail in March 2008.
For updates and announcements regarding the release of "44", sign the guestbook and be sure to include your email address.

"Ride"
Notes from Paul
Hello Everyone...just finished recording a demo for a song I wrote called "Ride". This is a special song written for a special person. I recorded this one rather quickly...the message of the song was of the utmost importance more than getting every detail right...but, I hope you will give it a listen. It was one of those nights when I wished I could wave a magic wand and make everything all better for someone who was having a rough time...the only thing I could do was write and record a song for her---and this was the result....enjoy!
